The clients had bought and converted an old pub that used to trade under the name the Fox and Hound. As a result they wanted a painting to commemorate this. After discussions with the clients they chose a concept of the fox almost outwitting the hound and they wanted the forest season to be winter with snow. As it happened we had a blanket of snow in the region so it was a perfect opportunity to roam the forests with my camera looking for inspiration.
